At 07:15 AM - pick up from all resorts at, or close to all hotels/private accommodations in Mindelo and transfer to São Vicente port. (we can also pick-up from Porto Novo).

At 8:00 A.M - São Vicente - Santo Antão Island. The ferry will take 1 hour to reach Santo Antao.

At 9:00 AM - We will pick up at Porto Novo port terminal by holding sign with your name, simply looking your name and our driver will welcome you. At that point we straightforwardly for the tour to north Santo Antao following the Corda road.

Stop 1 - "Cova" the volcanic crater observation. It's a fantastic experience!

Stop 2 - The impressive Natural East Plateau Forest Park is an unaffected by humans area. This area has the largest pine forest on the island.

Stop 3 - Corda viewpoint (Delgadinho). This place, at an altitude of 800 meters above the ocean, will provide you with an absolutely breathtaking view.

Stop 4 - Xôxô (Ribeira da Torre valley), considered by many people to be the most beautiful valley in Santo Antao.

Stop 5 - Fontaínhas village. This is a beautiful hidden gem of the island, the 2nd best location in the world.

Stop 6 - Ponta do Sol. Take a sightseeing tour around Ponta do Sol, a charming town with old and colorful houses with colonial architecture. Lunch (possibility to appreciate un tasty fresh fish caught locally) in the historic city, a privileged view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Stop 7 - Paul valley. After lunch you will be able to see and appreciate Paul, the greenest valley in the Cape Verde archipelago...the flower garden. The tour ends at Pombas city.

Stop 8 - Porto Novo. The return to the port of Porto Novo following the coastline of the island will take place around 15:00 p.m.

At 17:00 P.M - ferry-boat Santo Antao - Sao Vicente island.

At 18:00 P.M - Drop off at all resorts at, or close to all hotels/private accommodations, with a lot of impressions that will last for a long time!

All meals as provided in the itinerary for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, you have the option. The price does not include drinks.

Will I see everything in Santo Antao in one day?
This tour has been put together to show you some of the best attractions in Santo Antao that you can visit by car in 9 hours. There are still lots more that you can see in Santo Antao that requires few days more.

Is this tour suitable for children?
This is a full day tour but has plenty to entertain the children at each stop. If you feel you children won't like a full day, the we suggest another easier tour.

Stop 1 - "Cova" the Volcanic Crater.
The road through the mountains lead us through the semi-desert landscape of Porto Novo to our first stop on our excursion, at the "Cova" viewpoint, the crater of an extinct volcano at an altitude of nearly 1522 meters. It's a fantastic experience, it gives a good idea of the power this planet has to offer. We will take a short break for photos.

Stop 2 - The Eastern Plateau Forest Park
Driving in to the interior of the mountains towards the East Plateau Natural Park you will observe the magnificent landscape that surrounds the road. This unaffected by humans area has the largest pine forest on the island. The road is very popular among tourists because gives a very beautiful view of the mountains and of the agricultural terraces.

Stop 3 – Corda village and "Delgadinho" viewpoint.

At our stop, the charming and picturesque little village "Corda", greets us, often shrouded in mist. It's a village rainfed crops terraces with its fields (corn, beans, peas and common potatoes) with views to the Ribeira da Torre and Ribeira Grande valleys.

A few kilometres further on, at 800 meters above sea level, the "Delgadinho" viewpoint is absolutely breathtaking. There are great views over the two valleys, the East Coast villages, ending gently in the blue Atlantic Ocean further north.

Stop 4 - Xôxô (Ribeira da Torre valley), considered by many people to be the most beautiful valley in Santo Antao.

Stop 5 - Fontaínhas

The next settlement on our tour is the Most Beautiful Village in Cape Verde. Fontaínha is set in a mountain ravine and in the background, the blue of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a beautiful hidden gem of the Santo Antao island, elected named by National Geographic Magazine the 2nd best located location in the world.

Stop 6 - Ponta do Sol
Ponta do Sol is a small city, famous for its sunset. A charming town with old and colourful houses. In the city centre we’ll find the main street, the Municipality of Ribeira Grande and the church, impressive Portuguese colonial architecture buildings. It's also interesting to take a walk a sightseeing tour around the artisanal fishing port.

Stop 7 Paul valley, the greenest valley in the Cape Verde archipelago.
