When Is The Best Time to Go?
The Cape Verde Islands offer excellent opportunities for walking holidays throughout the year, however, the most popular period is from late October (following the summer rains) to May. During this period, the landscape is at its greenest, the highlands are cool, and conditions are ideal for road trips, hikes, and long trekking. However, due to high demand, it is advisable to book accommodations in advance.
From July to September, daytime temperatures can reach up to 32°C. This is the rainy season, which brings a vibrant awakening of nature, making it a prime time for photography enthusiasts. However, rainfall in the mountains and high temperatures may deter some hikers and those interested in active tourism.
What To take With You?

A cap and sunglasses
Pre-broken-in hiking boots
Fiber socks (Coolmax) for hiking
